i love 1960s economics books because unwittingly the author places us inside a time travel machine into the mindset of that era. so you duscover ppl had many fears and worries about the future, most or all of which never became reality. it is incredible to ponder why these fears did not manifest, and thus you become wise in your own time, knowing that a shift in worldwide attitudes will change the path of our future in ways we cannot forecast. which i find immensely reassuring!
